1934 Goudey Premium R309-1 Babe Ruth – SGC 2.5 with Original Easel Intact and Mailing Envelope

Issued in 1934 as part of Goudey’s R309-1 Premium series, these large-format cards were available only through a mail-in offer with Goudey Gum wrappers. Printed on heavy cardstock and measuring 5.5" x 9", each card was designed with a fold-out easel on the back so it could stand upright for display. This example features a fully intact easel, a rare and important detail for condition-conscious collectors.

The card shows light, honest corner wear, but maintains strong visual appeal. To the naked eye, it has the appearance of a much higher grade. Featuring Yankees legend and Hall of Famer Babe Ruth, this is the undisputed key to the R309-1 set and an excellent vintage value.
