ABOUT THE IMAGE: "No dog is better than dad!" Here's a long-sold out limited edition cel #349/500 titled, "Proud Papa". This is from the scene when Pongo, Perdy and their 15 puppies are watching Thunderbolt on TV. You will see this image at or around the 22:03 mark. Directed by Disney Legends, Clyde Geronimi, Hamilton Luske, and Wolfgang Reitherman, 101 Dalmatians was the studio's 17th animated feature film. The film was a box office success, pulling the studio out of the financial slump caused by Sleeping Beauty, a costlier production released two years prior. This is a nice large image of 11", hand-painted on 16 field acetate at the Disney Ink and Paint Department in Burbank and paired with a lithographic print background.
