Eyeliner tattoo is a form of cosmetic tattooing, often referred to as semi-permanent makeup. The pigment used is very different from body tattooing ink and is only deposited on the first layer of skin. The tattoo is applied to the eye line of the lashes, and can be applied as a fine, thin, or medium to thick eye-liner style.

Permanent eyeliner is a treatment you can receive that replaces the need to wear eyeliner each day. Permanent eyeliner involves using a tattooing technique to apply ink along the lashline/ waterline to create the appearance of eyeliner. (This ink is permanent, but has to be touched up every 3-5 years.)
