The idea behind this was to provide a nightstand without taking up too much room or any floor space at all. The built-in lamp swings side-to-side, slides up and down and has a swiveling shade with an on-off switch.

Custom hand-spun lamp shade in natural brass or powder-coated steel. Arm and shelf feature solid steel construction, in a durable powder-coat finish in several inspired colors. Swivels and fittings available in brass or nickel. Mounts to wall with provided screws and optional wall anchors when mounting to sheet rock.
