Here there is enough reduction to overshadow the underlying fruit so if you are tempted to try a bottle young in the interest of curiosity, be sure to give it some air first. Otherwise there is a bit more volume, and markedly more minerality, to the almost painfully intense flavors that exhibit focused power on the dusty, firmly austere and even more compact finish that delivers very fine length. As is usually the case with this wine, I would strongly advise not even thinking about opening a bottle before it has at least six to eight years of age.
