Bandai's HG Macross series uses a "Shortcut Change" three-stage transformation: some parts are swapped to keep the sequence simple while preserving HG-grade build ease, wide motion, and clean form in every mode. The forward-swept wing curves of Fighter mode and the GERWALK mode silhouette are faithfully captured, while the Battroid mode keeps a slim body line straight from the show. Pull-out shoulders widen arm motion, and a three-axis chest joint extends front-back and side-to-side range. Missile hatches in the shoulders and legs open, and the shield stows the knife as in the show. Polarised molding in three colors handles the fold quartz and canopy areas with light-shifting tones, and an ultra-thin yet high-coverage Namer sticker reproduces vivid color even over dark molded parts.
