Deep purple hues with a black eye on the upper dorsal make this rhododendron aptly named. The depth of color in the Black Eye flowers draws attention with its distinguished look. It has an attractively full and rounded growth habit as well. No wonder Black Eye is one of our most popular cultivars. 

Black Eye grows in partial shade to full sun and blooms around April through May. This beautiful hybrid can grow to about 5' tall. Hardy to -10°F when protected from windchill.
