Katie invites you into her studio to learn how to make a tiny pottery house to sit over a tealight candle. Once you have built your house you can customise it with windows, doors, decals, family names, house numbers + more.

Your house will be glazed with a glossy coat of clear glaze to show off the white of the clay, it will then be fired twice in the kiln for you to pick up 4-6 weeks later. A piece of art you get to keep forever.

This workshop is designed for beginners and is set in a relaxed studio environment. Katie loves to encourage creativity and no two pieces made in her class are the same.

This workshop is suitable for ages 12+

When? Saturday, June 6th, 10am-1pm

Where? Katie's pottery studio, located inside the Kaiapoi Mill, 35 Ranfurly Street, Kaiapoi.

What to bring? An apron if you have one or wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.

Sometimes pottery cracks in the kiln, this rarely happens but unfortunately it is a part of making pottery, if this happens we are not able to refund you. The best part of the workshop is the workshop itself and learning a new skill.
