Tondelaya is a ponticum rhododendron hybrid with vibrant white blooms and a showy red to orange pattern on the dorsal. It has a dark green slender foliage that makes for an attractive skirting to the blooms. Buds form as a light purple-magenta, and flower petals can show traces of that hue at the tips, which gives extra character. 

You will want to plant Tondelaya in well-draining soil and full sun to partial shade. This plant grows to around 4' tall at maturity. Hardy to -25°F when protected from windchill.
