Serial no. 1504. This rod has medium-light blonde cane, beautiful caramel colored agate stripper, oxidized guides, bright nickel-silver hardware, and a cap and ring reel seat over a stunning mortised African Blackwood spacer. Medium dry-fly action with a slight swell at the butt. Feels balanced, light and controlled with plenty of reserve power. Black silk wraps tipped amber. Cigar grip with only the slightest soiling. The butt cap is engraved "Tufts and Batson 1504". The ferrules are size 11/64. The fit is excellent. Rod includes fine nickel silver ferrule plug. The rod weighs 3 1/8 oz. Includes original bag and original aluminum tube with brass fittings and Tufts & Batson label.
