Flameguard™ Ultra Vinyl Matt is a high-performance, fire rated topcoat designed to provide a durable decorative finish while achieving Class B-s1, d0 fire protection as part of a complete system.

Applied over Broflame™ Ultra Base Coat (timber) or Brosteel™ Ultra 60 (steel), this coating delivers a clean, professional vinyl matt finish while helping to reduce flame spread and heat release in the event of a fire.

Unlike traditional fire protection coatings that can compromise appearance, Flameguard Ultra allows you to achieve your desired colour scheme with a finish that looks just like a standard decorative paint - but with certified fire performance.

Suitable for a wide range of interior environments including schools, hospitals, offices and public buildings, it provides a practical solution where both compliance and aesthetics matter.

System Build-Up

To achieve Class B-s1, d0 fire rating:

Timber:

2 coats Broflame Ultra Base Coat
1–2 coats Flameguard Ultra Vinyl Matt

Steel:

Brosteel Ultra 60 (to required thickness)
1–2 coats Flameguard Ultra Vinyl Matt

Surface Preparation

• Must be applied over the correct base system:
  • Broflame Ultra Base Coat (timber)
  • Brosteel Ultra 60 (steel)
• Ensure basecoat is fully dry and applied to specification
• Surface must be clean, dry and free from dust or contaminants
• Do not apply directly to bare substrates

Correct preparation is essential to achieve fire rating performance

Technical Data

Directions for Use

1. Stir thoroughly before use.
2. Ensure the correct basecoat system has been applied and is fully dry.
3. Apply by brush or roller.
4. Apply 1 coat as standard (2 coats may be required for strong colour changes).
5. Do not thin the product.
6. Allow minimum 4 hours between coats if a second coat is required.

Application conditions:

• Temperature between 5°C and 30°C
• Relative humidity below 75%
• Ensure good ventilation during application and drying
